A National Master chess player, small business owner, father of twelve, and grateful to be a South Dakotan — running not for power, but for responsibility.
A PRINCIPLED PERSON
CALLED TO SERVE
Elliott Neff has never wanted political office. He is busy — running a business, coaching chess, and raising a large family. But he and his wife believe that if principled and values-driven individuals are not willing to stand up and do their best to preserve freedom, then it becomes their fault when those freedoms are eroded.
Elliott is a National Master chess player and has spent 21+ years running Chess4Life, a mission-driven organization that brings the benefits of chess — problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning — to children across the country. He understands what it means to think many moves ahead.
Having lived in Washington State for 30 years, Elliott watched sales tax climb from approximately 6% into double digits. Now in 2026, WA state just passed an income tax in defiance of its own constitution. He moved to South Dakota five years ago, and he loves this state. He will do all he can to ensure that does not happen here.
Elliott and his wife have a deep sense of responsibility for their children's future and the future of District 6 — and that is what drives this campaign.
THE PATH TO DISTRICT 6
Built businesses, raised a family, and watched government grow unchecked — sales tax rose from approximately 6% to double digits.
Founded and ran Chess4Life, bringing the benefits of chess, problem-solving, and critical thinking to thousands of kids.
Moved to SD with family, fell in love with the community, the freedom, and the people of District 6.
Answering a call to serve — not out of desire for power, but out of responsibility for our children's future.

Elliott and his wife are deeply committed to the values of faith, family, and community. They believe that freedom is not just a political idea — it is a way of life worth protecting for the next generation.
The right to life, the right to liberty, the right to raise your children according to your values — these are not gifts from government. They are God-given rights that government exists to protect. Elliott will defend them.

He has no political career ambitions, but simply a deep sense of responsibility for our children's future.
